Lightcase Developer

Through a partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (ECWRPC) maintains a license to the Lightcast Developer program.  Lightcast Developer is used by ECWRPC to provide economic data for requesting economic development entities or municipalities in the East Central Wisconsin Region as a service of WEDC.

Lightcast contains comprehensive information on industries, occupations, demographics – and includes datasets regarding occupational skills, education, and training. Lightcast combines more than 90 data sources from federal sources, like the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), to state and private data sources. Lightcast Developer Reports include:

• General population & demographic data
• Workforce knowledge & skill concentration
• Information based on NAICS/SOC codes
• Education program completions and training gap data
• Potential business expansion/contraction modeling

Data is available at the state, regional, county, and zip code geographic levels.

ESRI Business Analyst

ECWRPC uses Esri Business Analyst for economic development and other planning projects within the region. This year’s update has changed business point data providers and has shown to be more detailed in the amount of businesses listed than in the past versions. Demographic, economic and other various reports are generated from this data package to support business decisions.
