Defense Industry Supply Chain Mapping

Through a contract with the New North, Inc., a web-based directory (known as the Supply Chain Marketplace) of regional defense contractors, businesses, and suppliers was created. This work was completed with strategic partners such as the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP), the Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI), and industry.

There are two primary uses of the Supply Chain Marketplace: (1) to identify manufacturers and small businesses in the Oshkosh region (for the purpose of outreach to inquire whether they desired other assistance) impacted by reduced Oshkosh Corporation (OC) production and procurement, and (2) to help other companies seeking to diversity their supplier based (or those that are just interested in more diverse contracting) identify suitable firms in the region. Over 300 firms (and growing) are currently listed in this searchable directory.
