Draft 2019 CEDS Public Comment Period

The East Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (ECWRPC) is pleased to announce that our Draft 2019 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) Annual Report has been completed.

The Draft 2019 CEDS Annual Report contains updated demographic and economic data as well as a performance report on regional economic development goals. The full draft document can be reviewed below:

Preparation of this plan ensures that the East Central Region maintains Economic Development District (EDD) status through the federal Economic Development Administration (EDA), allowing community and regional projects, supporting the goals identified in the document, to apply for funding through a variety of EDA programs. In addition, the CEDS provides a framework for regional economic development by presenting a series of goals, objectives and performance measures along with an analysis of socioeconomic trends, transportation access, regional geography and resources.

The Economic Development Standing Committee will meet and be requested to approve Proposed Resolution No. 25-19 on October 2, 2019. The full ECWRPC Commission will then be requested to approve Resolution No. 25-19 to adopt the Draft plan on October 25, 2019.
