Long Range Transportation/Land Use Plan 2015

Long Range Transportation/Land Use Plan 2015

ECWRPC will spend the next year developing Long Range Transportation Plans that will determine the future direction of transportation in the region. We are currently seeking input from all members of our communities to help create plans that consider the diverse needs of all our residents. Your confidential responses to this survey are greatly appreciated. Please take 5 to 10 minutes to answer the survey questions.

The Long Range Transportation/Land Use Plan (LRTP) update (2015) is prepared to meet the requirements of the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21) for long range transportation and land use planning in metropolitan areas. MAP-21 stresses the need for integrated multi-modal transportation planning and the development of a continuing process of consideration for all modes of travel. The LRTP has been developed by ECWRPC for the Appleton (Fox Cities), Fond du Lac and Oshkosh Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) to carry out federal transportation planning requirements. The MPOs work in cooperation and coordination with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), which is responsible for programming federally-assisted transportation projects statewide. The federal funding assistance to be programmed is provided by MAP-21 and is administered by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
