2030 Regional Comprehensive Plan

In 2008, ECWRPC adopted a region-wide framework plan for the ten counties it represents. This document establishes a comprehensive vision for the development of the region over the next 20 years. It also provides guidance for state, regional, county, and local decision-makers on accomplishing coordinated and balanced development that will promote the economic, social, and environmental well-being of the region. The plan address all nine elements specified in the State’s “Smart Growth” legislation:

  • Issues and Opportunities
  • Economic Development
  • Housing
  • Transportation
  • Community Facilities
  • Agricultural, Natural and Cultural resources
  • Land Use
  • Intergovernmental Cooperation
