Final 2015 Work Program & Budget Adopted

The final 2015 Budget and Work Program was adopted by the Commission at its January 30, 2015 Quarterly Meeting. The updated document contains a detailed listing of program areas and specific projects, as well as the expected revenues and expenditures associated with FY 2015. The document amends and replaces the July 2014 preliminary budget which was developed and approved for the sole purpose of establishing the 2015 tax levy. Based on the levy, expected revenues, and expenditures the Commission continues to maintain a solid financial foundation.

Highlights of the 2015 work program include continuation of the Commission’s important roles in federal planning programs for transportation (FHWA) and economic development (EDA), as well as our state roles for Sewer Service Area Planning (WDNR) and the Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program. Of particular interest for 2015 is our increase in staffing and capacity to accommodate increased demands for local and regional bicycle and pedestrian network planning. Hence, with the assistance of federal and state funds, the Commission was able to add a new full-time Regional Bicycle and Pedestrian Coordinator who will assist local units of government on planning and implementation issues with bike lanes, trails, pathways, and sidewalks. This and other activities can be reviewed by download the 2015 ECWRPC Work Program & Budget.
